terrà un seminario su:

Latent Semantic Analysis – A general introduction and a sample application

Il proponente
Francesco Cutugno

Abstract:

Latent Semantic Analysis is a quite new approach used for information retrieval and computational semantics. It is a fully automatic method based on singular value decomposition of frequency matrices.

In a first part of the seminar the differences between Latent Semantic Analysis and more ‘traditional’ methods in computational semantics will be explained. In a second part the algorithm and its implementation will be set out. For this, compounds in Dutch will be used as a guiding example.
